I have a notebook that I only write letters to my dad in.

I don’t write in it every day, but I do write in it often. I write in it when things happen that I would love to call and tell him about, or that I would love to send him a message to let him know.
Dad passed away in February of 2017, at home, after coming home from the hospital earlier that day.
I got to spend time with him at the hospital the day before and to talk to him on the phone the night he died.
I’m so glad our last words to each other were, “I love you.”
He was a great man. I think you would have liked him. I know he would have liked you.
